SL PROJECT
chaos in the control room

Fed up with the stark choice that is offered between bland manufactured euro-boy/girl bands or the MTV-imported self promoting American Bratpop, SL PROJECT have found a new "third way". A crafted fusion of style and melody, populated by stories of the lives of ordinary people. Each track has a different background, it's own story to tell, whilst all are seamlessly wrapped in the "SL Project" style. Produced by Jon Wilkinson (Alabama 3) in their East London hideout, SL PROJECT have immersed their songwriting in modern production techniques but hark back to the early 80's when analogue bleeped, squelched and ruled. Following the recent stlylistic innovations of "Add 'n' to X", "Ladytron" and "Felix da Housecat" SL Project take more than a passing nod to early pioneers such as New Order or Human League. With vocal delivery reminiscent of Ian Brown or Gary Asquith SL PROJECT have thrown in the kitchen sink and the chaos ensues...
